Nadia Petriw - Piano and Violin
Born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, Nadia began studying violin at the age of 4. Nadia graduated with a Bachelor of Music in String Performance from Brandon University in 2016 studying with Kerry DuWors and Daniel Phillips in Queens, New York. Nadia moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 2017 to pursue music therapy studies at Capilano University and graduated with distinction in June 2020 after successfully completing a practicum in Richmond and Delta working with children and adults.
Nadia has taught in her own private violin and piano studio since 2008 and is passionate about sharing music with young people. Trained in the Suzuki and Music Together methods, she enjoys working with all ages, abilities, and styles. Nadia believes that all children are musical and is passionate about sharing music through exploration, creativity, and play. Nadia maintains a piano and violin studio with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music, in addition to teaching early years music classes for children aged 0-7 and children with autism. Nadia is thrilled to return to the Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory of Music and the Brandon Suzuki Talent Education Program as an online teacher.
